A catch-all e-mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a typographical error. The negative aspect of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited messages, but this issue can be fixed by using an anti-spam filtering solution. It is also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a 3rd-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared web hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a few features, but it is unbelievably easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just one click. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small-size logo handily located directly next to each of them. With just a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature using the menu that will come into sight. If any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will warn you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
